Our 2022 Estate Pinot Noir shows off the vineyard with best of vintage barrel selection, 22 months on oak with 38% new French oak from Francois Frere, Cadus, and Radoux. Aromas of brown sugar, black cherry, cola, and nutmeg jump from the glass. On the palate, maraschino cherries layer atop an earthy wet leaf note, with plush, lengthy tannins on the finish.
The 2023 Moonglow Pinot Noir marks a new era and approach in red wine production for us. This wine was fermented in 500 Liter puncheons, giving it a roundness and weight not seen in prior Moonglow Pinot Noirs. Raspberry, pomegranate, cherry cordial, cocoa powder, pencil shavings, and black tea waft up from the glass. Delivers brown sugar sprinkled on top of a bowl full of cherries, with strawberry pastry and Indian spices. Deliciously fleshy.
Aromatics of fleshy cherry, raspberry reduction, rose petal, dried orange peel, tamarind abound in the nose. Enters with strawberry pie filling, hints of blueberry and wild blackberry in the midpalate, fresh focused acidity that delivers a lengthy, generous finish.
Thirteen years in the making, Lichen's latest addition to its Solera collection shows deep aromas of cherry, rose petal, tamarind, and dried orange peel, leading to strawberry, wild blackberry, and focused acidity. A complex wine for curious palates. Pair with roast chicken or aged hard cheeses.
The height of Lichen Estate's Anderson Valley Pinot Noir program. A best-of=the-best barrel selection from 100% organically farmed, high-density estate vines, aged in select French oak (38% new). Concentrated red and dark fruit with spice, dried floral, and mineral depth. Long, complex, and cellaring-worthy.
A true expression of Ferrington Vineyard, one of Anderson Valley's most storied sites. Cherry blossom, strawberry, dried orange peel, and dusty earth on the nose; stewed cherries, fruit leather, and Christmas spice through a focused, lengthy finish. Breggo's celebrated history with Ferrington dates to 2005. This is a triumphant return.
Dark, broody, and contemplative. Raspberry, pomegranate, black cherry, plum, cinnamon, and cardamom on the nose; a juicy cranberry midpalate evolves into anise and strawberry fruit leather with focused acidity and a rich, coating texture. The essence of high-elevation Anderson Valley terroir. Pairs with grilled lamb or aged manchego.
